NOVEMBER IS ADOPTION MONTH

Children need to have roots, a sense of self-worth and a sense of belonging with a permanent family who cares for them. November is Adoption Month. If you are interested in providing care for a child permanently through adoption or for a few days or months through foster care, it is important for you to learn as much as possible in order to make decisions that are right for you and your family.

To explore opportunities to become a foster or adoptive parent, contact us at 705-645-4426.

Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka is an integrated Children's Service Agency and Children's Aid Society (CAS) and is proud to provide a number of services to support children, youth and families in the District of Muskoka.

When families are unable to provide a safe environment for children, Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka works with parents to strengthen their skills so that children can remain safe at home.  When that is not possible, we look at other options to ensure that children are kept safe.

Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka also offers Children's Mental Health Services to help children, youth and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
