Family Support

Family Support Workers primarily work with the child or youth’s caregiver and encourage them to participate in opportunities to learn about child development, child management, and enhanced parenting skills. 

Family Support Workers also provide coordination of court ordered supervised access visits for families.

Services provided include:

• teaching and modeling child management techniques
• household management
• child development education
• stress management counselling
• assistance with accessing other community resources
• the provision of supervised access visits.
