Message from the President

As an Agency which is wholly funded by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Children and Youth Services, we are accountable to provide Child Welfare and Children's Mental Health services to the children, youth and families of Muskoka.

Our volunteer Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the Agency as well as providing advocacy within the various levels of government and the community to ensure the quality of services delivered.  In a period of budgetary constraints this is no easy task and we depend upon the tireless energy of our staff as well as the extraordinary dedication fo our Foster Parents and Volunteers.

On an annual basis, we deliver services to many families, children and youth and this number relentlessly grows.  This past year we served roughly 1,300 child welfare and 1,000 children's mental health cases.  We continue to seek and develop new programs and ways of harmonizing the coordinating the delivery of child and family services within our region taking a leadership position wherever appropriate, in support of our primary vision to ensure a community where children, youth and families are safe and well.
